小熊前天首戰攻下八分，昨天碰到克蕭完全掛零，而且開賽連續十四名打者被解決，直到五局下兩出局後，六棒貝茲才揮出首支安打；芝加哥論壇報用「地表最強投手」形容克蕭，強調小熊球員必須脫帽向他致敬，趕快忘掉這場比賽，繼續向前行。
克蕭先發七局面對廿四人次，飆出六次三振，只在五局下被連揮兩支安打，七局下保送一次，生涯首次在國聯冠軍戰勝投，季後賽累計四勝六敗一救援、防禦率四點三九。
克蕭已奪三次國聯塞揚獎、一次年度MVP，季後賽勝率卻不到五成，包括二○○九、一三年國聯冠軍賽吞三連敗，直到昨天踩剎車；道奇總教練羅伯茲表示，克蕭早就厭倦聽到這些事，隊上也沒人在意他的紀錄。
道奇連續四年奪下分區冠軍，前三年未能打進世界大賽，今年季後賽碰到難纏的國民、小熊，克蕭從八日起登板，每次只休一到三天就上，四戰投出二勝一救援，唯一目標就是幫助道奇奪下暌違廿八年的世界大賽冠軍。
小熊被克蕭狠狠修理，輸得心服口服，總教練麥登說：「他沒讓打者有太多攻擊機會，搶好球數就像平常比賽一樣，儘管休息天數不多，控球、球速還是非常好。」
昨天七局下兩出局一壘有人時，羅伯茲本想換投，由「守護神」簡森提前接手；但克蕭堅持投完這半局，面對最後一名打者貝茲，被揮成中外野飛球，場邊教練團一度以為「代誌大條」，還好順利接殺。
